The Law of Human Nature

This is a talk originally given by C.S. Lewis in 1942 over BBC radio to the British people while they were under heavy air attack by the Nazi’s in World War II. C.S. Lewis was one of the great philosophers and thinkers of the Twentieth Century. He is most well-known today for the series of children’s novels that he wrote entitled, “The Chronicles of Narnia” the first of which was made into a movie by the same name. His book, “Mere Christianity” stands as one of the great apologetic works of all time and was very influential in challenging my thinking when I first read it 25+ years ago. You can find the online ebook that this reading was taken from at the following web addresses. If the links do not work you will have to copy and paste them into your browser’s address window.

Note: When I read “The Law of Human Nature” at MECC on March 19, 2007, I made a few minor changes in vocabulary to make it more understandable for the audience. If you listen to my MP3 while reading the text, I trust that it will recognize and understand the differences.
